Students in kindergarten through 5th grade are eligible to be screened for Gifted and Talented (GT) and Talent Explore (TE) in AISD through a nomination and screening process.
Students may be identified through the screening process in one or more areas.
- GT STEM (Science and Mathematics)
- GT Humanities (Language Arts and Social Studies)
- Talent Explore STEM (Science and Mathematics)
- Talent Explore Humanities (Language Arts and Social Studies)
Referrals are received by the Campus GT Advocate, who facilitates the implementation of GT assessment and services at the campus level. For questions about the GT identification process or services at your campus, please reach out to your Campus GT Advocate.
Referral Window for SY2023-24: September 18-October 6
- 3rd – 5th grade: Fall Semester, September 10th - September 21st
- Kindergarten – 2nd grade: Spring Semester, January 14th - February 1st.
